Passing Torch

In 2016, we built a running organization for our community with three concepts in mind - challenge you to run further and faster; inspire others to live a healthy lifestyle; and help you achieve new goals and personal records.  Our motto of challenge, inspire, and achieve became the motivation for so many of our runners.  It was what fueled us to develop and organize new NeoEndurance events in the Tampa Bay area, including a half marathon and a 16-mile event. When we made the announcement in the early summer of 2019 that we would discontinue our events to focus on a government career path, we felt the powerful ripple effect of emotions that seemed to cast a shadow on our hearts.  That is, until, we got an email from the Boswells.

Edmund and Beth

It wasn't our intent to pass our events over to another race director, but we couldn't ignore the amazing stream of passion and excitement that came from speaking with George and Barbie Boswell.  The sibling pair, brother and sister, are passionate about running; about community, but more importantly - they're passionate about family, which is why we decided to hand over the race director responsibilties to the Boswell Family.

The New Race Directors

Edmund and Beth will continue organizing and directing the remaining events of 2019, including the 3rd Annual Tampa Resolution Run in 2020 on January 4th.  On that same day, January 4th, we will conduct a change of command ceremony on stage in front of over a thousand runners before the running events begin.

The Boswells have ran several of our events, earning themselves the title "NeoEndurance Loyalty Runners".  If you've ever ran our events in Tampa, you wouldn't be able to miss Barbie, who runs with an awesome smile the entire length of a 5k! She's no stranger to half marathons either.  George, who is a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, is driven to break personal records and is even challenging himself to an ultra marathon.  The two of them together will send NeoEndurance into new and exciting places, always with the runners interest in mind.

What's Changing? What's Staying?

The Boswell family want to continue attracting more runners while organizing and directing exciting events.  With new owners comes new ideas and new concepts that will only add to the value and importance of NeoEndurance and its runners. To that effect, the same events you saw in 2019 will continue in 2020.  This includes our fun and festive Leprechaun's Run in March; the ridiculously hot, but fun, Independence Run in July, and of course the deliciously awesome Tampa 5k Pizza Run in April.

The Loyalty program will continue with new rules and guidance (more updates on this later), and runners will continue to receive the same remarkable customer service you're already used to.  As we get closer to our transition date, we'll provide our followers and runners with more details.

Three years ago, Katie wasn't a runner, but that all changed when she heard about a half marathon charity run. Today, she's unstoppable.

Most runners run alone, but you shouldn't have to run in fear.

Running hasn’t always been a passion of mine. In fact, I have only been running since August 2017. I used to hate it. I used to drive by people running and think to myself, “Wow that looks miserable!” I simply never thought I would run and accepted the fact that it just wasn’t for me. I was wrong.
